Emissions/ self-serve car wash attendant

This position involves conducting emissions tests and periodic grounds cleanup at our self-serve car wash/emissions facility. Our emissions facility operates Monday-Saturday 8:30AM-6PM, and hours will be split between 2 attendants to allow for maximum flexibility in work scheduling. Emissions/self-serve car wash attendants are expected to conduct the following tasks: • Running emissions tests and charging/documenting emissions-related transactions properly • Employee must exhibit a positive and helpful attitude when interacting with customers • General car wash grounds cleanup and occasional trash dumping – customers at this location tend to be very respectful of the grounds, and cleanup is pretty minimal • Employee must be willing to willing to learn how to conduct simple mechanical tasks when owners are not present. Specifically, replacing threaded hoses and trigger guns using a crescent wrench • Re-stocking of car wash consumables (shams, air fresheners, armor all, etc.) • Open communication with facility owners when employee has questions/concerns Job perks: • Competitive pay, plus cash tips • Flexible work schedule • Positive work environment • Air conditioned/heated office • Complementary car washes/emissions tests for employees Hours will be shared with an existing employee, and new employees will have the opportunity to work up to 30 hours a week. Requires state certification – note that the class takes one day to complete if employee is not already certified. (link to online portion of training here: ). Employees will be compensated for time spent in class (the class itself is free of charge). We are open to different work schedules and will consider all proposed work schedules from applicants. Our customers expect a high standard from our employees, and as such we do not tolerate drug use, nor will we tolerate employees showing up late.
