Agricultural Connections/Land to Plate Cooperative is a specialty distributor of farm-direct local food. The Delivery Driver and Warehouse / Ops Support team member is responsible for retrieving product from local and regional partner suppliers, delivering product to customers in Central Oregon, primarily Bend, and supporting warehouse and administrative efforts. This opportunity provides for the right candidate a chance to participate in developing the position and represents an increasingly important linkage between the foodservice commercial food industry and our local farming community. Key Job Responsibilities Logistics, Aggregation, Distribution, Food Safety, Warehousing, Vehicle maintenance Deliver orders to Central Oregon commercial clients Track any refundable items for return to suppliers Pick up, organize, transport local and regional farm goods to the Bend AC Warehouse Clean, prepare, and assist with maintenance of delivery vehicles and warehouse facility Data entry, intermediate website management, customer service Understand and comply with relevant food safety regulations and assist with any necessary record keeping Other Duties and Responsibilities Act in accordance with AC’s mission and uphold the company’s brand and values Home Deliveries for the Household program Other duties as assigned and needed by the team leader JOB QUALIFICATIONS Valid Oregon State Driver’s License (must be insurable by AC auto insurance policy) Ability to drive various vehicles including Dodge Ram ProMaster 2500 and Freightliner box truck -- box truck has a manual transmission, no CDL required Ability to work early mornings and sometimes evenings Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs throughout the day for extended periods Ability to read, write and understand English and communicate effectively via email, phone and text Ability to accurately follow direction and work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and organizational skills Excel at detail management Positive attitude Stay calm amid on the fly problem-solving Additional Desired Skills Skills and Experience Work experience as a driver Work experience in customer service / retail / office administrative Prior knowledge of local food systems and sustainability Work experience in small scale agriculture and/or in food service Experience with small, innovative business Flexible, adaptive personality; appreciation for hard work Enjoy working within a small team environment Excitement about health and the local food movement Mechanics/equipment/diesel truck background is ideal JOB SPECIFICATIONS Agricultural Connections/Land to Plate Cooperative is based in Bend, Oregon. Employees must be able to commute to this location. The position is mostly on the road in company vehicles. Any travel for AC purposes to off-site locations in an employee’s personal vehicle will be reimbursed at the state’s current mileage rate. SCHEDULE and COMPENSATION Full Time, Monday - Friday with start times ranging from 6-7AM. Part Time scheduling is possible, please inquirer. Compensation: Paid hourly: $20-$21 DOE Benefits 1x produce Harvest Box / week valued at $49, discounts on products from our retail program.
