Description
Experience
Must have a minimum of two years of maintenance related experience and possess a general understanding of tools, equipment, repair procedures and preventative maintenance protocols.
Essential Duties
Performs assignments as outlined by the Maintenance Supervisor including work orders, unit turns, and maintenance of property grounds and common areas.
Maintains and accounts for property equipment/tools
Performs routine plumbing, electrical and mechanic repair work
Assists with clearing of snow and ice from walkways
Participates in an after-hours on-call rotation
Adheres to company policies related to time and attendance, safety regulations, record keeping and maintenance procedures
Performs other duties as assigned by Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor
Physical requirements
Regular exposure to changes in temperature as well us dirt, dust, grease as well as a variety of chemicals. Operates hand tools, power tools including saws, drills, mowers, blowers, voltage meters, drain snakes. Drives personal or property vehicles to get parts and /or equipment. Position involves constant movement in the form of walking, standing, bending, and reaching. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
