Our team members are encouraged to develop and move into more challenging roles as their career progresses. • Employee discounts at our affiliate brands which include– Value City Furniture, American Signature Furniture, DSW, and American Eagle Outfitters What your day will look like: • Embodies our values: Serve Others and Own It • Meets or exceeds customer expectations in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner • Visits customers’ homes as needed to repair furniture • Ensures that all warehouse repair policies and procedures are followed • Ensures that the appropriate team member is informed of any item that cannot be repaired • Receives returned and/or damaged furniture items, assesses condition to determine whether the item is repairable • Follows established procedures to dispose of unsalvageable items What will help you succeed: • Furniture repair experience including upholstery repair, leather repair and wood repair • Must have a good working knowledge of power tools including, but not limited to: table saw, drill press, belt sander, router, circular saw, screw guns, hand drills and heat guns • Ensures that all safety procedures are being followed • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memo • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide • Track record of serving others and putting team goals first • Owners’ mindset; takes ownership over everything within scope of responsibility • Proactive approach; identifies and solves problems • Adaptability; flexible to shifting priorities and a changing environment
