Description
It’s a very difficult decision to make, but after trying everything possible for the past 8 months, we have decided to rehome my one-year old sweet dog, simply because we cannot provide sufficient exercises and training for her due to long working hours and our current living conditions.
We came to the conclusion that she probably isn’t very suitable for living in the city and hope some dog lover, who has experience with dogs and lives in the suburb, would give her a forever home. She is a very very affectionate, energetic, and intelligent cattle dog mix. However, she can’t handle car noises and doesn’t always like other dogs. We tried taking her for long walks, getting her a personal trainer, and sending her to daycare centers, but none worked very well. As a result, she has been destructive in my tiny apartment in downtown Chicago. I think she could really benefit from systematic training, which, unfortunately, isn’t something we can provide for her at the moment - I unexpectedly ended up taking a job that requires me to work 70-80 hours a week and could barely wfh. No matter how good the trainer was, that extra energy she has always led to the same destructive behaviors.
She is microchipped. All her vaccines are up to date. I have all the supplies she needs. We can negotiate a discounted price for all her belongings. Beyond that I won’t charge any adoption fee. Finding her a loving owner who will improve her life quality is truly my top priority and truthfully, the only one.
Again, she is perfectly healthy and never shows any aggression towards humans. It is totally our fault to have adopted her without fully understanding what raising an energetic puppy is like.
If you live in the suburb and genuinely love dogs, please reach out to me.
