A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN As an HVAC maintenance tech, you play a key role in ensuring our residents are happy with their residences. By working with the lead supervisor, your main responsibilities include completing work orders, cleaning up the grounds, and turning vacant units. You monitor and maintain all buildings that are assigned while implementing safety standards that comply with company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines. By maintaining a professional and courteous tone, you communicate with residents and gather valuable insight into the needs of the community. At times, you perform basic duties such as picking up trash, sweeping curbs and dumpster areas, and maintaining common areas. You ensure the workshop, utility room, and mechanical rooms are always clean, orderly, and free of potential hazards. By keeping track of inventory, you place orders for materials as needed and supply receipts to both the property manager and maintenance supervisor. You are always reliable and respond within thirty minutes during your designated on-call hours. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN HVAC and pool certified Experience using a variety of tools and equipment Experience reading blueprints and various other architectural documents Experience identifying, reviewing, and obtaining bids on projects in need of supervision from outside contractors Experience maintaining files and keeping inventory of supplies Ability to lift 50-75lbs and perform other physical duties Ability to give and receive instructions Do you have excellent verbal and written communications skills?
