Fabricator/Welder/Shop Helper

We are looking for a skilled and experienced metal fabricator/welder as well as some general shop help to join our company. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the industry. Our ideal candidate will ideally be a self starter, who is reliable, has a strong work ethic, and works well within a team setting. The candidate may also be asked to take and pass a skills assessment (depending upon prior qualifications). Some of the skills that will be assessed are the ability to accurately read a tape measure, welding ability, ability to read drawings, and how to layout a handrail. Required ​Qualifications: Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields (1+ years) Familiarity with welding tools and procedures Familiarity with various pieces of heavy equipment (press brake shear, chop saws, presses,etc.) Ability to read a tape measure Ability to follow a set of drawings Ability to handle physical workload and lift 50-75lbs on a frequent basis Ability to work Monday- Friday 7:30am-5pm (45/wk) Must hold a valid VA driver license Additional Qualifications Comfortable driving a truck and trailer Ability to drive a fork truck Experience working with Aluminum and Stainless Steel Any Welding Certifications Experience with rail fabrication is a major plus General Responsibilities Measuring and cutting material Welding various projects Fabrication of finished materials Following detailed plans to complete projects Pick up, delivery and installations of various projects and materials Maintaining a clean working area (Shop, metal yard, work trucks,etc.) If you are interested or have any questions please feel free to contact us!
