General Laborer - Class A CDL - $22/hr

Description

We are looking for General Laborers with a Class A CDL License. This is not only a driving position. Trucks are not big rig trucks. They are F450s & F750s. You will be responsible for not only driving materials and crews to and from the job sites, you will also be part of the crew performing installation, removals or repairs of highway safety products such as crash cushions, guard rail and signs. • Load and unload trucks and/or trailers: haul and hoist materials • Drive Crew/ haul material to and from job site. • Keep truck clean and organized, inside and out • Provide daily inspections of vehicles and trailers used • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks & trailers • Perform tasks involving manual labor for highway and heavy construction projects • Operate a variety of hand tools and power tools • Clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials • Maintain a clean job site: Pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards • Performs material handling and storage Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Tuition reimbursement • Vision insurance Qualifications: • Have and maintain a Class A driver’s license with a clean driving record • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 80 LBS and have good stamina • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous labor under adverse field conditions. • Adaptability to a frequently changing and fast paced environment • Must be able to work 40-60 hours per week, anywhere between 6-12 hour days- up to 6 days a week: Punctuality is required • Must be able to adjust to varying work times- ranging from 7 AM to 7 PM • Must be a team player with a positive attitude • Ability to work near heavy equipment and in outside conditions that include inclement weather conditions not limited to heat, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. Under State mandate, qualified applicants must undergo E-Verify Screening. In addition, applicants must pass a drug and alcohol screening.
