Candidates please apply at the link below: Arcosa Lightweight is searching for an Equipment Technician for our Boulder, CO plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by supporting activities and staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As an Equipment Technician, you will use small/power tools and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical systems/components, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. As an Equipment Technician, you may participate in the repair, dismantling, installation or change in plant equipment, maintain records and make reports. Arcosa Lightweight is a leading producer and distributor in the Western and Southwestern U.S. of lightweight and natural aggregates, including expanded shale and clay, crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other products What You'll Do: - Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations - Perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment such as motors, conveyers, mechanical components or electrical wiring and electrical components for production equipment - Maintain contact with kiln operators and quality control to ensure material quality - Climb into and around mobile and plant equipment to make adjustments - Participate in general cleanup of the plant area, including but not limited to shoveling and sweeping - Follow all safety rules and practices - May be involved in safety committees or initiatives - Perform other duties as assigned What You'll Need: - Prompt, regular and predictable attendance - The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required and lift weights up to 60 pounds. - The ability to work in a varied outdoor environment (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy) - High school diploma or GED equivalent - The ability to be trained in mobile and industrial plant equipment - The ability to read blueprints is a plus, but not required - Compensation and benefits - $29-$31 per hour - Local site incentive plan targeted at 5% - Benefits Arcosa is proud to offer competitive benefits and programs to help you and your family meet your healthcare and retirement planning needs.
