Per Mar Security Services is actively hiring a Security Systems Technician to join the team in Madison, WI. As a Security Systems Technician, you will install, service, and test electronic security systems including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, Access Control systems and all related electronic security equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Benefits: • Competitive compensation • Employee referral bonus program • Tool allowance • Company vehicle and cell phone • Medical, dental, and vision coverage • Training and field experience Job Responsibilities: • Test and verify that all systems and devices installed (alarm panels, sirens, horns, strobes, etc.) function properly and in accordance to manufacturer's specifications • Use multimeters for particular volts and OHM readings and circuit analysis. - Hook up RJ31X to specified panel mountings of devices such as motion detectors, keypads, and controls • Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad • Explain and demonstrate to the customer how the specific alarm system installed works Requirements: • High School diploma or GED required • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record • Ability to obtain specified licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry according to the rules and regulations prescribed by the State in which the branch operates • Have knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe and proper installation of alarm systems and devices • Must have mathematical skills including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume along with the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry Per Mar Security is excited to welcome this new team member.
