some older musicians who were among the guys who started the entire scene here way back when..........are playing again............3 singer songwriters who have done a lot.......including records,opening for big acts and even been on tv shows............and even played with guys from husker du and replacements back in minneapolis................anyway.......we recently put out a vinyl album and it sold out 3 times..........we are big in france and japan..........myself i get played a lot in ireland and florida and england................and put on many cd's with my cover tunes.................so here is the deal..........we are doing another ep and wanna do a show in december to promote it............might also do some new recordings and even some new tunes............we will rarely gig............at all...but who knows if we get tight...................anyway we practice at my house.............and i have an electronic drum set you can use there if you like.............i live alone.............so no interruptions there.....no wife,no pets, no kids..........i am close to downtown..............i am retired and here all the time...........so we can start work as soon as you like.......come by and we can talk and i can show you the songs and our history..............we have a drummer but he lives in another state and i doubt we can get much done that way...................rest of us are in tulsa................this does not have to be your main gig............we will not do much...........just on rare occasions............the songs are not hard.............pretty much power pop.............simple..........a ringo kit is fine..........but ya gotta be energetic and snappy and ya gotta do the songs at the right speed........not too slow...not too fast.................if ya wanna know the kind of drummer we prefer it would be the guys from these bands............ the paul collins beat,the plimsouls,the romantics,the knack,the beatles,the jam,xtc.................snappy and powerful............. you might be able to sing a bit if you like but not needed................... probably not much money involved............but you might get some respect and clout playing with us.................your name might get around.................... i may post one song by each guy in the band...........so you know what we do................... walter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhv3lINNNac one by jerry https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qy5yy-kgGQQ one by me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXe8nxXjz8k so that is the three guys you will be playing with....................... no jamming...you must play the songs..............as they are........................ let me know if you are interested and can do the gig................might be some kind of future in it who knows...........
