Swinney originally hails from O’Donnell, Texas, but he’s spent much of his last 16 years living in a remote mountain cabin near Nogal, New Mexico. He’s been called “quirky” and “unique,” and DJ’s from Australia to Europe to the United States have been giving him spins since 1997 when his debut - Human Masquerade - first hit the scene. With a number one album on the Euro Americana to being named songwriter of the year by Freeform American Roots under his belt, Swinney continues to write songs, though he’s currently working on a book of short stories. Swinney will be joined at The Redbird Listening Room by the incomparable Michael O’Connor on lead guitar. O’Connor and Swinney have been playing together for over 20 years.
