Lead Guitarist Wanted, San Fernado Valley, Classic Rock

Meets

19524 Nordhoff St., Los Angeles CA

Description

SEEKING A GUITAR PLAYER who can play lead (licks, hooks, riffs) and some improvised solos – San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. Our 6-piece group, Ransomed, plays classic rock, oldies, and more. We play for fun, fun, fun, and occasionally for an audience. We have been together about two+ years. We are not money-makers. Our terrific lead guitar player left due to health issues. Group ranges in age from 36 to 78 and includes drummer, bass, rhythm guitar, 2nd guitar/lead (you?), keyboard/singer, and female lead vocalist with a killer delivery. We play mostly off written charts, not by memory. The two founders of the group do most of the organizational work. We usually get together twice a month and rehearse at Pop Music Studios in the heart of Northridge on Nordhoff St. just behind The Guitar Center. Rehearsals cost approx. $20 per member and run from 1:00-4:00 pm on a Saturday or Sunday. It’s a real nice venue and full back line is included. Photos are on our website. We also meet for lunch nearby at The Stand, or elsewhere. You can see us and one of our gigs, the outdoor “ArtWash,” at www.Ransomed.band. We are slowly growing our catalog of about 40+ songs, including: It’s So Easy, Folsom Prison Blues, White Rabbit, All Along The Watchtower, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?, Ex’s and Oh’s, Hit Me With Your Best Shot, Maggie May, Born To Be Wild, Keep Your Hands to Yourself, Friday I’m In Love, Be My Baby, Eight Days A Week, Honky Tonk Woman, The Story (Brandi Carlile), Valerie (Amy Winehouse), and more. If you are interested please send me your *name, email, phone number, location, and a brief bio*,and explain how you would fit in the group. If you have a video or audio recording that would be helpful. If you are high-strung, demanding, high-maintenance, depressed, get easily upset, drama queen, drama king, have just had a bad breakup, homeless, penniless, or going through other major trauma, this is probably not the group for you. We are into chill, easy-going, well-adjusted, calm, reliable, team players. If you fit the bill we would love to hear from you.
