It's too bad they don't teach the basics in school about the way Government in this country works. You're right about Congress is who is in charge of making laws. The border mess needs to be straightened out in Congress- It's been ignored for decades and needs bipartisan participation to permanently fix the immigration problem at the border. Neither party seems to be interested in working together to accomplish this. Running the border by Executive order is only temporary because the next administration can change those orders or eliminate them altogether. IF and When Congress does their job and makes new comprehensive laws and funds the Border Patrol -- the Border Situation will never be under control until Congress does their job. No matter who is President. These are just elementary fundamentals of how the Government works. It's a shame that they aren't taught in Middle and/or High School anymore.
