Lets do some gig math according to "in lieu of flowers" massive gigging success.
$500 divided by 6 guys equals $83 a guy, divided by the average 6 to 8 hours spent packing gear, time and gas driving to the gig, setting up, playing, breaking down, repacking, and the time/gas driving back doesn't even equal $10 an hour.
At $820 congratulations!!! Each guy made the same as a dishwasher working an 8 hour shift.
....That's without the time/money spent practicing, paying for your space or the utilities used if you have one, and the gas money each guy spends driving. Now add photography, merch, strings, sticks and heads, clothes, and all the time each guy spends on social media promoting the band.
Congrats on all your accomplishments, but your band spends more time and money than it takes in.
