Who this In Person Event is for: Ages 4-12. Adult caregivers are required to accompany child participants. Siblings of participants outside this age range are welcome, but may find the event to be less meaningful and fulfilling. What you'll be doing: This Thanksgiving, everyone deserves to spend time with their family, creating memories over a yummy meal! Join Seeds of Caring as we teach our kids about food insecurity and help support neighbors struggling with food access and hunger. We will discuss gratitude, basic needs, and assemble Thanksgiving Dinner Bags with turkey day essentials for neighbors supported by the Broad Street Food Pantry. Optionally, your family can collect or purchase non-perishable Thanksgiving side dish donations, like cornbread, stuffing, packets of gravy, and cranberry sauce, ahead of time and then bring them to the event. We will provide a flyer in your confirmation email to help your child conduct their own neighborhood food drive if you choose. COVID-19 Protocol for In Person Events: Please review our COVID-19 Protocol for In Person Programming before registering for this event. Specific Instructions: All supplies will be provided. If you complete a food drive, please bring your donations to the event. Why you'll be asked to pay a supply fee and donate: On the next page you'll be asked to pay a fee to offset supply costs for this event. These fees are non-refundable. If you have to cancel your registration later, please know that your fee will go toward our efforts to create more meaningful service-focused programs for Columbus-area kids. Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you. Please consider making a generous gift to help us continue to empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds. We never want supply fees to prevent someone from participating in a Seeds of Caring program.
