Description
You are invited to participate in Sense LA, a program that creatively harnesses the power of collective intelligence to rethink the future of Northeast Ohio. Using a methodology called PREPARE and led by one of its founders, Gabriel Kahan, this full day session will draw on individual experiences to facilitate in-depth explorations and lead dialogue on local social issues. This workshop will generate the basis for a public artwork that will be available for new visitors to add and respond to through the end of the year—as a part of the exhibition Contact. Space is limited. Lunch and snacks are provided to participants. About PREPARE: Sense LA employs the PREPARE methodology, developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) by Kahan and Alexander Slocum, a mechanical engineering professor. Used around the country to tackle our biggest problems, PREPARE enables individuals within communities to identify and address problems of mutual interest and creatively visualize them in ways that facilitate new forms of understanding the intertwined and evolving relationship between individual and collective.
