Join our death café community facilitator, Allison Mitch, and local green burial and funeral specialist, Marion Friel, of Green Burials of Love, to learn about water cremation. Water cremation, or alkaline hydrolysis, is a more environmentally friendly option for the processing of a body after death. Environmental awareness in general and concerns around body preparation practices specifically, make this field trip an important and timely educational opportunity. We prefer that those that register have participated in our death cafe community and give preference to those individuals for registration. Our event is free, but love donations are always appreciated to support related causes, such as to Green Burials of Love, Water by Cremation, or others doing environmental or equity work for end of life care.
