History and Impact: Castles Daycare Academy utilizes a culturally created curriculum developed and designed by Cynthia Knight-Boone to enhance the educational development of children starting at age 2. The Castle’s curriculum implements an array of activities that strengthen a child’s early foundation. This curriculum has been studied and proven by the UNCC College of Education in conjunction with The Reemprise Fund, and Foundations for the Carolina. As a result of their extensive research and extraordinary findings Mrs. Cynthia and Castles Daycare Academy have been coined “Unconventional Childcare with Uncommon Results” where the “findings are as compelling as the outcomes”. Mrs. Knight-Boone has continuously and consistently produced generations of scholars entering the school system far above grade level and far exceeding benchmarks for over 35 years. The Castle specializes in educating and nurturing the WHOLE child mentally, spiritually, and physically during the most significant period of development, thus creating eager, efficient and confident learners and leaders. Anyone who has ever visited Castles Daycare Academy will tell you it is impossible to enter the walls, of the Castle, no matter how short the time, and leave unchanged. Over the years the Castle has created an educational culture all its own, and it cannot go unnoticed.
