Description

The day’s theme will link STEM teaching to social and environmental justice issues in the community. The conference will feature a keynote speaker, teacher-led STEM workshops, presentations & resources from educational partners, and networking opportunities with STEM and community organizations. Attendees will engage with fellow educators in hands-on workshops around inquiry based science education models; including Education for Sustainability (EfS), Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences (MWEE), and Socio-Scientific Inquiry (SSI). The free event will include a light breakfast from 8:30am-9:00am and lunch.
