The Frayser Connect has planned three unique experiences as we explore the history and the future of black economic liberation. Frayser is experiencing a renaissance, as investments from the City of Memphis, entrepreneurs, the Frayser CDC, and others, it is important to be intentional about how the community wants to see the developments and investments in the future. These conversations are the first phase in community engagement around how we can build an support an ecosystem in Frayser that is grounded in equity and that seeks to provide capital and better economic opportunities for Frayser residents. Who should attend: Frayser residents, business owners, entrepreneurs, political representativesBankers, Real Estate Agents, Commercial Developers, Architects, Commercial ContractorsArtists, Spiritual leaders, Activists, Social Scientists, HistoriansPeople who support the economic advancement of Frayser and Memphis residentsEach experience will be a celebration of Black Exceptionalism. We are honored to partner with Chef Eli to create menus that reflect Black Culture and the evening's theme. Each experience will infuse art into the conversation as we highlight local artist representing multiple artistic expressions. Once you register you will be updated about the menu, the artists, and receive a suggested viewing or reading guide. We hope that you are able to join us for these conversations that will help us to develop focus groups for the upcoming year. * Portions of the conversation will be recorded to capture themes that will influence phases 2 and 3 of this community engagement process.
