Description

To celebrate our new neighbors and generate financial support for CWS Harrisburg, we are planning an International Friendsgiving To-Go Feast on Saturday, November 26. Our resettled neighbors will prepare a feast of delectable ethnic foods representing Syria, Afghanistan, Congo, Guatemala, and Ukraine. The food-to-go boxes will be sold as a fundraiser to provide supplemental income for our newcomers and help CWS Harrisburg live out its mission of transforming communities by welcoming and supporting refugees and immigrants. The event will offer a culturally diverse experience for our community to gather friends and family, learn more about being a welcoming community, and enjoy delicious food. The goal of the fundraiser is to provide an outlet for our new neighbors to share their culinary skills, culture, and home country dishes with the greater-Harrisburg area. Thank you to our sponsors!Church World Service (CWS) is a faith-based organization transforming communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement, and disaster.
