Requirements: Working 8 - 12 hour day or night shifts in extreme weather conditions. Must be able to frequently lift and pull a minimum of 75 pounds of heavy hoses or other equipment on hard-packed or soft snow and icy surfaces. Must be safety conscious and aware of changing conditions
Position overview: Snowmakers need to be genuinely interested in working outside in challenging and changing weather conditions. You will be involved in the operation of snowmaking equipment whenever weather permits. When possible and needed, you might be working seven days per week, and other times, you may be working in another area or called off. Warm and waterproof clothing, boots and gloves are essential. This position generally lasts 4 to 8 weeks and when snowmaking is finished for the season you may have the option to move into a lift operator position.
Wages: $15/hour starting plus a $2 Bonus for all Snowmakers who complete the full snowmaking season.
