Description
Hi there, I’m just putting out feelers to see if there are other Denver musicians interested in starting a fun project centered around covering early to mid 20th century folk music. I’ve always wanted to perform material from the genre, along with New Orleans jazz/gypsy jazz inspired tunes as well. Barbershop and ragtime are not off the table.
Here is a list of influential artists:
Leon Redbone, Pete Seeger, Randy Newman, Django Reinhardt, Burl Ives, Roger Miller, the Everly Brothers, Kirk Douglas, the Sherman Brothers, Cab Calloway, Fats Waller, and Les Paul.
Instrumentation can be just about anything. I sing/harmonize, play piano and accordion.
I think a project like this could be all ages, but I am in my late 20s for what it’s worth.
Email me if interested.
