The Michigan Science Center is hosting its FIRST® Lego League Regional Qualifier on Saturday, November 19th. The event runs from 8:00-4:30 and volunteer shirts and lunches will be provided by MiSci.
FIRST® programs inspire innovation and leadership through engaging, hands-on robotics challenges developed to ignite curiosity and passion in students in grades K-12. FIRST is a proven game-changer for preparing kids to solve the world’s greatest problems.
This year, the challenge is SUPERPOWERED and focuses on energy and its essential role in keeping our world running; from the machines that move us, to the food that sustains us. There will be a Robot Game competition taking place on the Science Stage in addition to judging sessions that all teams must participate in. The Michigan Science Center is seeking volunteers to fill roles as judges, referees, robot game assistants, and much more.
Volunteers will be required to complete a profile on the FIRST Volunteer Portal and complete a background check prior to being assigned a role. If you are interested in volunteering at our event or would like more information, please reach out to
