The gig is a 60th surprise birthday party up in Westford. We'll do 2 sets. $75 plus food/drink. Should be a good party and fun night to play some music. We have acoustic/rhythm, electric bass, fiddle, and drums, so looking for another soloist, electric guitar or surprise me. Ideally one person, but whatever works. It's all gravy at this point.
We've got some originals and probably playing 60% basic covers. Eric, the bday boy, likes classic rock, the Dead, and old country, so planning to play a bunch of these songs: Bertha, Friend of the Devil, Ripple, Honky Tonk Women, Angel From Montgomery, If It Takes a Lifetime, Ain’t That Good News, Can’t Let Go, Thunderstorms&NeonSigns, Red-Headed Woman, Rollin’ in my Sweet Baby’s Arms, I Saw The Light or I’ll Fly Away, Wagon Wheel, Lookin’ Out My Back Door, Take It Easy, Creep, Still Haven’t Found What I’m Lookin’ For, Make You Feel My Love, Big Yellow Taxi, Burn One Down, Waiting In Vain, Folsom Prison Blues. Sound appealing? If you know a lot of the songs, practice optional, but if you want to join, we'll be practicing JP/Roslindale area a few times before gig.
The name is this configuration shall be "Junk Drawer Manifesto". It may be our one and only gig. TBD. I'm in an Americana band with the bass and fiddle called "Louder Than Milk" based out of Hyde Park. We need a drummer if you know anyone :)
