Hunger in Philadelphia is all too common - as nearly 250,000 Philadelphians are food insecure. Food insecurity has been a prevalent issue in the city for decades, but has also been exacerbated in recent years by the pandemic. No one deserves to go hungry—ever. Right now, food takes on a greater meaning, and it is our goal to provide complete, rejuvenating holiday meals to as many families as possible. Join the Open Arms Home Care family on 11/17/2022 from 11am-1pm, EST for our inaugural Giving Thanksgiving to Families In Need. 🍁 GIVING THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE (While supplies last) 🍁 THIS IS A FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT 🍁 ADMISSION IS FREE (You MUST pre-registered to attend; deadline is 11/11/2022) If you would like to donate food items, these are our most-needed (and approved) holiday food items: 🍁 Canned Goods: corngreen beanspeaspeachespineapplefruit cocktailcranberry sauce🍁 Dry Goods (boxes/packages): stove top style stuffinggravy mixrolls/bread mixcornbread mix🍁 Other: Kool aid/lemonade mixcoffeeDonations may be dropped off at Open Arms Home Care prior to 11/11/2022.
