WalkUnitedLA is a family-friendly 5k walk/run hosted by United Way of Greater Los Angeles in partnership with the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium to raise funds and awareness that support United Way’s mission to break the cycle of generational poverty. Spend your Saturday, November 12 at the home of the Super Bowl Champions, for the second annual WalkUnitedLA, with a special commemorative celebration for United Way’s 100 years of service featuring Flavors of Inglewood with local restaurants and craft brews, live entertainment, food trucks, hands-on volunteer opportunities, kids’ activities and much more. Andrew Whitworth, winner of the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award and Super Bowl LVI Champion has been named WalkUnitedLA’s Honorary Chair for his ongoing leadership in influencing positive change in communities across Los Angeles.
Volunteers are needed in the following areas to help make this year’s event a success! More details to come.
Registration: check-in event attendees, distribute runner bibs, etc.
Incentives: distribute fundraising incentive items to attendees, etc.
Medals: cheer on runners as they cross the finish line, pass out medals, etc.
Wayfinders: provide directions and answer general event questions, etc.
Water Stations: pass out water to walkers and runners
Children’s Area: engage with children through storytelling, coloring, crafts, etc.
Volunteers will arrive at SoFi Stadium at 6AM where breakfast (bagels, fruit, pastries) and beverages (coffee, water, juice) will be provided. At this time, the volunteer manager will provide further instruction and answer any outstanding questions.
