The South Central Run Club invites you to the Second Annual F*** White Supremacy 5k Run taking place in South Central. The FWS 5K is an Anti-Turkey Trot. Turkey Trots are the leading cultural running event in the United States. With Turkey Trots being rooted in the history of the Thanksgiving Massacre, runners of color are particularly vulnerable to retraumatization. South Central Run Club is the first organization to organize an alternative community run event to meet the wellness needs of runners of color. We are running change and healing in our own communities. The F*** White Supremacy 5K Run celebrates the resiliency of South Central Los Angeles, a place made of people who are actively healing from the impacts colonialism. This run is about showing gratitude, love and grace to our ancestors who sacrificed, resisted and survived colonial forces that worked to erase our cultural memory. This run is about coming together to hype each other up as the living embodiment of our ancestor's dreams. This run is not about hatred, division, violence, alienation or dehumanization. All races, ages, genders and abilities are welcomed. This 5K is about getting the flowers we deserve while we're still alive. Join us to support and encourage a culture of wellness in South Central.
