Join Compost Carpool and Opal's Farm for a Fall Farm Tour! Compost Carpool partners with local farms like Opal's to divert biodegradable food waste from local landfills. Come see what the composting process looks like at Opal's and check out their awesome work growing veggies right along the Trinity River! Driving Directions: From Highway 121 turn onto Sylvania and take a right onto Lasalle, which is a small street just past a small bridge. It's very easy to miss but there is a car repair shop near the farm entrance. You can park outside the gate or drive in on the dirt road and turn left (beware that the road is uneven, so those with smaller cars may want to park near the gate and walk). You'll see the farm further down the dirt road parallel to the river. You can park along the dirt road or near the mulch pile in between the crop fields.
