Ciao! The Winter Formal returns with strong Italian flavor. To spice things up this year we're going with a full dinner format. GBVS is partnering with Maria's Family Restaurant of Haverhill for a evening of delizioso entrées from the "old country". Maria's restaurant has the perfect vibe for the era and a great function hall for dinner and dancing. Musical accompaniment will be provided by talented pianist Benjamin Peabody. He'll play some songs for dancing as well as your favorite holiday hits. Feel free to make requests. While your there take a picture by the grand piano and Christmas tree! Dinner includes hors d'ouevres, complimentary table wine, and a full buffet. The evening will be capped off with a his/her costume contest. It's the 1950's so use inspiration from period classics like the West Side Story, the Seven Year Itch, Roman Holiday or modern hits like the Marvelous Mrs Maisel, and the Queen's Gambit. As usual, black-tie will be the suggested dress code but we'll also welcome regular suits/modern dresses and maybe a couple rebels without a cause! Schedule: 6pm Guests arrive/cocktail hour 7pm Dinner Served 8:30pm Costume Contest 9pm Evening Concludes (Head to the after party!) The dinner buffet consists of: Assorted cheese and fruits during cocktail hour, rolls, garlic bread, garden salad, complimentary red/white table wine plus tea/coffee, Maria's homemade lasagna, baked salmon, pasta, meatballs w/sauce, and a full cash bar. For those who would like to extend their evening, we welcome you to an after party at our home (the GBVS HQ) for dessert and a digestivo (after dinner drink).
