Join us for a shell bagging event. Participants will shovel recycled shell into mesh bags that will be used to construct oyster reefs in the spring/summer. Everyone should wear closed-toed shoes (no crocs or flip flops!) and clothes you do not mind getting dirty. We will provide water, gloves, sunscreen, first aid and bug spray. We will have cups for water but encourage volunteers to be eco-friendly and bring a refillable bottle. Participants are to meet at the DNR facility located at 217 Ft. Johnson Rd., Charleston, SC 29412. When arriving at the complex, drive through the gate and follow SCORE Event signs. There should be ample parking next to the field, although carpooling is strongly encouraged. SCORE personnel will be in the field waiting for you. Participants must be 10 years or older to participate. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
