Landscape Laborer/Foreman $18-$25/hr

We are growing new landscape company serving all San Diego County, searching for a responsible, self-starter to be our new Landscape Foreman and manage a number of groundskeeping teams. The landscape foreman's responsibilities include overseeing the construction of outdoor spaces and maintaining existing grounds, monitoring and training workers, supervising the use of equipment, ensuring staff observe safety guidelines and protocols, and completing various administrative duties, such as crew timesheets and work reports, daily. You should also have leadership skills and sound knowledge of pesticides and chemicals. Qualifications: • The ideal candidate has at least (3) years experience in Landscaping and possesses the following: • Ability to read specs, plans and details • Able to participate in close out activities: As Built, job walks, controller charts • Knowledge of local plant material, soil preparation, irrigation/mainline • Ability to identify trees and plant material by common name • Ability to handle proper use of chemicals and fertilizers • Skilled in use of gas/battery powered and manual hand tools (mowers, edgers, weed-eaters, hedge trimmers, blowers) • Must have valid California Driver’s License with good driving record, and a means of transportation. • Vista, CA 92083: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Responsibilities: • Ability to efficiently provide excellent landscape maintenance and installation to our clients • Effectively communicate both orally and in writing with co-workers and clients • Endure moderate to heavy work in all weather conditions and lift up to (50) pounds • Provide a safe, high quality and efficient environment for crew members • Maintain a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with customers and staff • Adhere to and promote company doctrine, values, and mission statement
