Join our store merchandising team! We’re looking for outgoing, personable individuals with an eye for making product displays look great to join our group. There is no direct selling involved. You will simply help our clients maintain a clean and attractive product presentation in the business-to-business / retail environments we serve. Your work will be appreciated every day by our dedicated sales group and retailers we serve that rely on the merchandising team. Primary activities include: - Maintain product display / point of purchase signage panels in business-to-business / retail environments such as Restaurant Depot and Smart & Final. - Maintain store shelves for represented products, removing damaged merchandise, tidying product on shelves and providing the optimum display of products. - Maintain inventory by restocking shelves if necessary and discussing reorder opportunities with store managers. - Ensure compliance with store panograms for location, shelf space and positioning of products. - Assist with display resets if necessary. - Determine and evaluate store visit schedule with your supervisor based on sales priorities, special promotions, new products, price adjustments, seasonal opportunities and changes in the business. - Assist with monitoring for defective product and facilitating returns if necessary. - Monitor competitive products and detail product assortment shifts. - Work closely with store managers, department managers and employees developing strong working relationships and personal credibility. - Complete call reports detailing work completed, issues observed, and opportunities to consider - Conduct in-store product demonstrations to train store employees about product features / benefits and educate end-use consumers about the products. Set up display tables, talk to / engage with customers to generate excitement, answer questions and inspire sales. - Identify point of purchase material opportunities. - Maintain an inventory of replacement point of purchase signage. Reorder signage as needed and work with the marketing team on updates / corrections to signage. Skills: - Very strong personal organizational skills. - Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks quickly and efficiently. - Ability to quickly grasp minor differences between seemingly similar products, with an attention to detail. - Adaptability and flexibility to shifting deadlines based on client priorities. - Excellent verbal communication skills and written English skills to communicate issues on written reports. - Ability to use a camera and computer to document displays and upload assets to a computer server. - Strong collaboration skills. - Ability to work in a team environment interfacing with internal stakeholders as well as clients and customers. - Honest, reliable and dedicated approach to work. - Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of personal credibility and integrity. - Spanish language skills a plus, but not required - Ability to lift 30 pounds overhead and carry 30 pounds 100 yards - Ability to climb ladders Transportation: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record / no violations Must have a reliable car and auto insurance Experience: No prior merchandising experience is required, but relevant experience in merchandising, sales, or retail displays is highly desirable. Location: Candidate should live in the Bay Area. In this role, you will service various retail stores around the northern California region. The Access Partners regional office is located in Pleasanton, California. Our corporate office is in Southern California. Work Hours: Work schedule subject to mutual agreement and the needs of the business. Some flexibility in work hours is possible to accommodate a school schedule or other obligations. Work up to 8 hours per day between 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Saturdays may be available if desired by the candidate and coordinated with stake holders and managers. Education: High school diploma required. Associate’s degree or some college coursework is desired.
