We are looking for a vocalist that has spirit to complete our band. Are you tired of the same old jam band charts, poorly rehearsed bands and delusional musicians? We are a rehearsal band on Tuesday nights in central Sarasota. We need a versatile, energetic and reliable lead male vocalist. English speaking or (English and Spanish... even better). This band has leadership, a good rehearsal space and is focused. We play more modern music, not the American songbook. This is not a blues or a jam band. We have female vocalists and horns. The band is fully equipped and can provide a high quality vocal for any size event. our sound system can support large events. PDF delivery of charts. Chart book is on the stands (could take some time to go through it) All of us are in this for the music. None of us need to earn a living from music. The band rehearses with a professional attitude and direction. We have a chart list available. All members read music or follow charts. Our fundamental includes a Latin clave (3:2. 2:3) when practical. Charts cover from Bo Diddly to Madonna. Occasional quality gigs are our desire to validate our rehearsing to a professional delivery. Everyone in the band is vaccinated. A nonnegotiable criteria, as some members have health issues. We have a large printed book and a pdf delivery. We know where we live. This size needs to have committed members and be well rehearsed to find decent gigs. The membership is laid back, solid financially and emotionally stable. We will not solicit gigs until the band has two full dance or stage show sets. The members are long haul members. We are not targeting restaurants or bars. Members are chosen for their abilities and professional demeanor. This isn't open mic or amateur night. This is not a blues, southern rock or a jam band. We are a bigger group with a full sound. Perhaps an albatross in this day and age... but... perhaps... the Sarasota community is ready for a well rehearsed, sophisticated and more modern presentation. This area has grown. Our passion for music should translate into a demand for quality music and entertainment. Our target audience is larger events, or gated communities.
