We are three local musicians in our mid 60's, retired from the corporate world, forming a Woodstock Era ('67 - '71) tribute band called Flashback Fringe. We each have 50+ years experience in the music business. Our plan is to deliver energetic, true to the sound and spirit performances...not your typical bar band renditions. We are fairly meticulous with our playing and vocals, and tend not to settle for "good enough". Our goal is to create a concert-style show, and play theaters, festivals, larger venues and private events, not bars. We are seeking a talented, solid, professional bassist who is responsible, drug-free, drama-free, and shows up to rehearsals prepared. Lead and/or backing vocals are a big plus, but not required. Being a retiree is also a big plus, as we rehearse early afternoons, and prefer not to deal with work schedules. We have a catalog of approximately 40 songs, ranging from Cream to Three Dog Night to The Doors. Our rehearsal space is in North Asheville. The goal is to hit the ground running and put together a solid show as quickly as possible.
