I recently had a couple oak trees cut down. The crew left a bunch of wood behind cut in the appropriate lengths that now need to be chopped to smaller sizes. I have reserved a gas powered splitter from Home Depot this Sunday, October 30th. I estimate it will take 5-6 hours to move the wood from the backyard to the front yard, split the wood and then move it back to the backyard. The gas splitter won’t fit through the gate. $15/hour cash. House close to downtown Silver Spring, near Sligo Creek Parkway. The wood is solid and the job will require physical strength to carry, but the splitter should do most of the work.
