We are seeking part-time professional development coaches (PDC) to help clients learn how to succeed in the workforce. PDCs are essentially our client's motivational and support team. PDCs work directly with individuals on and off a job site to help them learn specific job duties and requirements. Since each client is unique and has different needs, the job is fun, exciting, and full of unexpected challenges. Their work changes daily and may include learning how to apply for jobs, interviewing effectively, finding employment, and dressing appropriately for work. PDCs will encourage clients to identify, focus and capitalize on their strengths and develop proactive tools to improve areas of need. PDCs will help clients; identify and set goals, create agendas and timelines and meet their goals by promoting organization and persistence. When challenges arise, PDCs help clients troubleshoot career issues, develop employment strategies, and help clients recognize positive short-term strides and progress while allowing them to reach their long-term goals. PDCs will help clients create resumes, cover letters, and follow-up letters, set positive work ethics, and understand employer expectations. The ultimate goal is to help clients develop appropriate work-related social and behavioral norms, communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers and navigate the workplace for advancement opportunities and other duties as assigned. Must be able to pass a background check through the FBI and DOJ. Since 1991, Polishing The Professional has helped thousands of individuals achieve success, personally and professionally. We work with individuals from diverse backgrounds with varying career interests and ambitions. However, many of our clients are private pay. Polishing The Professional holds numerous contracts with local, state, county, and federal government entities to provide our services to their qualified candidates.
