Description

Frank Productions Concerts Live in Madison WI. manages The Majestic, The Sylvee, The Orpheum, The High Noon Saloon, and Live on King Street. Stopped taking cash at all events during the pandemic. Their policy: Please note that our venue is now a cashless facility. This means that we will be unable to accept cash as a form of payment for tickets and at the bar. This seems like monopolistic discrimination to me. I don't have a credit card or a smart phone. So, therefore I am not permitted to attend any events at any of these venues. Many of my friends feel the same way I do. I don't want to cause too much trouble for the venues. But, I feel the FPC Live policy is monopolistic and discriminatory. And, I don't think they can legally do this. Cash IS legal tender. This action IS preventing a lot of people participating. We being excluded based on our financial circumstances. If someone doesn't have a credit card, or a venmo account, etc... we are Not Allowed to see concerts? Class action lawsuit? I can easily get a bunch of friends to sign on. Is there a case against them? I just want to be free to see live music again. NYC is fining businesses for refusing service to cash customers. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/10/20/nyregion/van-leeuwen-cashless-ban-settlement.html Businesses in NYC are being compelled to accept cash. https://ny.eater.com/2022/10/ /van-leeuwen-cashless-ban-settlement Meanwhile, I can't go out and see a concert almost anywhere in Madison. Please, help me by working to end these monopolistic, and discriminatory practices in Madison. Contact FPC Live: . Email: . Contact your local city leaders for example: FPC Live is being very shady,in my opinion. And, no one is even looking into what they are doing. I can only imagine the payload of personal data they are possibly harvesting, etc....
