Coast Guard Recruiting Office Chicago has teamed up with Coast Guard Sector Lake Michigan. We will be hosting a Coast Guard Career Day on Saturday November 12, 2022 at Coast Guard Sector Lake Michigan! It will be a great chance for High School students, College students, and those who have already entered the civilian work force to come out and meet Coast Guard members from the Wisconsin and Illinois area to discuss with them the types of jobs each rate performs in the Coast Guard. There will be a presentation scheduled in the morning hours that will break down the financial and educational benefits provided to them in the Coast Guard, Coast Guard Missions, requirements to join and enlistment terms of service. In the afternoon hours they will have the opportunity to tour our response boats/cutters and witness a search and rescue display with a Coast Guard helicopter. Attendees will be provided materials to take home to their families to help aide them in any future decisions. Parents and family members are also encouraged to join in on the festivities! Our target audience for this event is 16-40 years of age, however, there is not an age limit to attend. Individuals who are potentially interested in learning more about our Active duty, Reserve, Officer, and Auxiliary programs are highly encouraged to attend.
