The goal of this event is to raise awareness about apprenticeships and the valuable “Work and Learn” opportunities they provide. BCTC has partnered with local businesses that collectively have over 25 open apprenticeship jobs available, some of which allow high school students to apply and begin apprenticing early. In addition, students can utilize dual credit scholarships to earn college credit for the courses (Related Technical Instruction - RTI) in which they participate. See the link below for more detail.

The agenda for the day will include a panel of current apprentices and their employers that will provide an overview of their experiences and answer any questions students may have. Additionally, we’ll provide a tour of the Advanced Manufacturing Center, and assist students with both college and apprenticeship applications.
