Have you struggled with over-extending yourself to accommodate others? Do you believe making others happy is the right thing to do? Do you say yes, even when you mean no, because you're afraid to rock the boat? ...if you answered yes to any of these, you may be a people-pleaser. It's ok, most of us have been conditioned to be this way. But we can deconstruct this way of living and thinking! This workshop is designed to help you. In this self-empowerment themed workshop, we will explore why and how we people-please in our lives and how it negatively affects us. From there, we will learn how to make more empowered, self-loving choices (even if it means rocking the boat) and the clear benefits this kind of shift will have on our lives, as well as the lives of others. We will have group discussions, journal questions, and talks to integrate and practice the material. Meditation, astrology and light movement will serve to complement the core material of the workshop, and the ecstatic dance will help us embody it! Vulnerability and practicality are primary intentions. We will practice communicating our wants and needs in clear and kind ways, strengthening the vulnerability and communication skills required to shift out of people pleasing habits in a safe space with each other. You will leave clear on exactly how you can do less people pleasing and prepared to make more self-loving, empowered decisions for yourself!
