In this introductory training to social-emotional learning, we will discuss topics such as trauma and trauma-informed practices, as well as teaching students to build good character in the classroom through personal responsibility, active listening, and bully prevention. Additionally, we will delve into restorative practices with a focus on talking circles. Participants will also learn about CASEL’s 3 Signature Practices - why they are important and how to use them in the classroom. Participants will walk away with other resources/websites to use.
