Prader-Willi California Foundation aspires to improve the educational and residential quality of life of individuals born with the syndrome. Prader-Willi Syndrome is a genetic disorder that affects many parts of the body and their growth. It causes mental and behavioral problems. Project Pearls is a Philippine-based, NOT FOR PROFIT organization, aiming to end poverty. Their VISION is a world where NO child, at no time, should go hungry! No child should be hungry for nutrition, education, shelter, medical services, and opportunities to achieve their full potential. Their MISSION is to help the poorest of the poor children to have a better life by giving them PEARLS: Peace, Education, Aspiration, Respect, Love, and Smiles through education, empowerment, nutrition, nourishment, and healthcare. Two of the organizers, Kat and Kyle, decided to give back to the community for their birthdays. They chose these two organizations because the cause behind them means so much to them. They also partnered with Nana of Brokeboi Entertainment, DJ KB & Armani of Lets Function Entertainment and 35mallie. Furthermore, they decided to host a charity show with local vendors, businesses, and performs. The goal was to throw a "FUNCTION," uniting the community for two causes.
