Description
This presentation will focus on materials, principles, guidelines, and the rationale for achieving optimum esthetic (yet functional and practical) implant restorations, while at the same time, avoiding complications and costly remakes.Restorative dentists and surgeons often debate: do excessive, occlusal forces in implant restorations cause crestal bone loss? What constitutes implant overload? What is the ideal occlusal scheme for implants? How should we check the occlusion when delivering restorations? How should the occlusion on removable, implant-assisted overdentures differentiate from the occlusion on fixed implant-supported complete dentures? This presentation will summarize practical concepts of occlusion for natural teeth and implants in routine clinical practice! Earn 6 CE credits! Learning ObjectivesAt the end of this presentation, you will be able to: Choose the best material and design for single implant restorationsChoose the best material and design for multiple and full arch implant-supported prosthesesUnderstand and choose the best occlusal schemes for teeth, implants, and nightguardsAbout the Speaker: Dr. Baldwin Marchack is a 1971 graduate of the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC.
