Through the beautifully diverse choral music written by composers Rosephanye Powell, Reena Esmail, Florence Price, and more, Rising Tides takes you through a musical journey of what it feels and sounds like to rise above the tides by lifting up ourselves, each other, and our surroundings. Together we have the strength of a wave crashing upon the moonlit sand to start anew and try again; to wash away what is no longer needed; to redesign our future. Spectra Choir is a feminist treble choir committed to creating innovative and intriguing music while amplifying underrepresented voices through the repertoire we sing, the causes we support, and the community we create. The concert will be one hour and there will be a reception immediately following in the fellowship hall.
