Writing WorkshopSaturday, November 12, 202210:00am to noon CTFacilitator, Heather TruettAttendees may bring an example of a poem they love to the session. The group will examine how to get inspired by reading other poets' work and sharing their own. All participants will write and share during the session.
Workshop fee is $25 and includes admission to Link Centre's Friday, November 11, Sessions Open Mic featuring Heather Truett. Doors open at 7pm and the program begins at 7:30pm.
Heather Truett’s poetry and short fiction can be found or is upcoming in Split Rock Review, Abandon Journal, Arc Poetry, Hunger Mountain, Constellations, and Utopia Science Fiction. Her debut novel, Kiss and Repeat, released in 2021. She currently serves as managing editor for The Pinch and is in her last semester as an MFA candidate at the University of Memphis. Originally from the hills of eastern Kentucky and raised in central South Carolina, Heather and her husband, with whom she has raised two sons, now live in New Albany, Mississippi.
