Boren Training Solutions Active Shooter Response Skills. Active Shooter Response Skills Course focuses on safe gun handling, consistent accuracy, accurate shooting while moving, and dealing with scenarios we may face in an Active Shooter event. We will take a logical approach to building realistic skills that can be employed should we ever be faced with an Active Shooter. This is not a course intended for beginners and those who register should possess safe gun handling skills and be able to hit an 8" target from 10 yards on demand. This one day course includes: Basic Skills and SafetyDetermining our Maximum Shooting DistanceTarget Transitions and CadenceExploring different Shooting PositionsShooting while AdvancingScenario based training using Photo-Realistic TargetsEquipment List- Reliable pistol chambered in 9mm or larger. Reliable holster made of kydex or leather specifically for you gun model. No holsters that close after drawing the pistol. Serpa holsters not allowed.Gun belt. At least two magazines and a magazine carrier. At least 300 rounds of ammunition.Eye and Ear Protection (Electronic Hearing Protection Prefered)Jeff Boren Instructor Bio: Jeff Boren is the owner and lead instructor at Boren Training Solutions. Certifications held include Rangemaster Master Instructor Certified, NRA CCW/Basic Pistol, USCCA CCHDF Instructor and Training Counselor, Active Shooter Response (Ed Monk), Countering the Mass Shooter Threat (USCCA), Force on Force Certified Instructo (Karl Rehn), and Certified Restraint Instructor. Jeff seeks to obtain at least 80 hours of personal training from other professionals each year. Courses Jeff has attended so far in 2022 include the Rangemaster Master Instructor Development Course, Rangemaster Tactical Conference in March, and Active Shooter Instructor Training with Ed Monk in April.
