The party in power almost always gets beat up in the midterms. People are never happy with what they have. Let's assume that the republicans take back the Senate in November on the platform that their candidates will address inflation. I can guarantee that during the next two years, inflation will still be a problem because Republicans aren't interested in fixing anything that might benefit the Dems. Three notable areas are health care, infrastructure and climate change. We're still waiting for the republican party to offer alternative plans despite their continued resistance to the current Dem plans. So what we'll get is 2 more years of republican resistance (Party of NO) designed to keep inflation alive. This way they can claim Biden didn't fix the problem and they can rile their base to vote Republican in the 2024 election on a major platform of addressing inflation. It is a wicked web republicans weave in order to gain power and it's power they refuse to use addressing major issues. Republicans had 4 years with complete control over the executive, the house and the senate and they had a majority on the supreme court....still they made no effort to put forth a better health plan nor did they offer an infrastructure plan but they have fought both Dem plans from the start. Think about it.
