Primary Purpose: • Perform work involving janitorial and maintenance skills. • Keeps the mechanical equipment, buildings and grounds of the Agency in repair and good order, keeps the facilities clean. • Duties include carpentry, repairing mechanical equipment and painting. • Maintains grounds of the property using hand and power tools and equipment, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and snow removal. • Cleans and maintains the building. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. A clean NYS Driver License is required.
